Help Center
The questions we hear most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, our team is one message away.
Your account
Creating an account is free, and it is the only thing you need before you start a course.
How do I create an account?
Go to Register, enter your name, email address, and a password, and confirm your email address using the link we send you. If you have an AIA member number, you can add it during signup or any time later. You do not need to be an AIA member to earn a certificate. Membership only lets Cardinal report your completion to AIA CES for you.
I forgot my password.
Use Forgot password and enter the email address on your account. We send a reset link that works for one hour. If it expires, request a new one from the same page.
How do I update my name, email, password, or AIA member number?
Sign in and open Account settings. Your name is printed on every certificate exactly as it appears there, so check it before you take your first test. The same page holds your AIA member number and a list of the devices signed in to your account, any of which you can sign out remotely.
Verification email
After you register we email you a link to confirm your address. Courses and tests open once you have used it.
I never received the verification email.
- Check your spam or junk folder, and any promotions tab. Search for a message from Cardinal Training.
- Give it a few minutes. Corporate mail filters sometimes hold new senders briefly.
- Sign in. If your address is still unconfirmed you land on the verification page, where you can request a fresh email.
- Confirm the address you registered with is spelled correctly. If it is wrong, contact us and we will fix it.
The link says it has expired.
Verification links stop working after an hour for security. Sign in and request a new one from the verification page.
Can I use a different email address?
Yes. If your work address blocks our messages, contact us with the address you registered and the one you would like to use instead, and we will switch it for you.
Taking a test
Every On Demand course ends with a short multiple-choice test. Passing it is what earns the certificate.
Why can't I start the test yet?
The test unlocks when the course is complete. For a video course that means watching it through to the end, including the closing seconds. For a PDF course it means reaching the last page. Your progress saves as you go, so you can leave and come back. If you have finished the material and the test is still locked, reload the course page once, and contact us if it stays locked.
What score do I need?
Each test shows its passing score before you begin. Most courses require 70 percent. Questions are multiple choice with a single correct answer.
What if I don't pass?
Retake it as many times as you need at no cost. After each attempt you see which questions you missed, so you can revisit that part of the course before trying again.
My connection dropped mid-test.
Nothing is lost. Return to the course and start the test again. An unfinished attempt does not count against you.
Your certificate
Your certificate is your record of completion. Keep a copy wherever you file your continuing-education paperwork.
When do I get it?
The moment you pass the test. Occasionally the PDF takes a few seconds to render, and the page waits with you and refreshes on its own. We also email you when it is ready.
Where do I download it?
Sign in and open My Certificates. Every certificate you have earned is listed there with a Download PDF button, and you can come back for it any time. The Certificates link in the site footer takes you there whenever you are signed in.
What about Live Events?
Live Event certificates are issued after your attendance is confirmed. You receive an email with a link to claim yours, and it then appears under My Certificates alongside your On Demand certificates.
Can someone check that my certificate is genuine?
Yes. Every certificate carries a certificate number and a QR code. Anyone, including a licensing board, can confirm it on our certificate verification page without signing in.
My name is wrong on the certificate.
Correct your name in Account settings first, then contact us with the certificate number and we will take care of it.
AIA reporting
Cardinal Glass Industries is AIA CES Provider #10121105. Every course is registered with AIA CES for Learning Units, including Health, Safety & Welfare hours where the course qualifies.
Do I need to report my own credit?
Not if you are an AIA member with your member number on file. Cardinal reports your completion to AIA CES for you, and your certificate is your record of it in the meantime. There is nothing you need to send to AIA.
I'm not an AIA member. Can I still earn credit?
Yes. You earn the same certificate, and nothing is reported to AIA. You can submit the certificate to your state licensing board yourself. Whether it satisfies your requirement depends on your state board's rules, so confirm with them.
I added my AIA member number after finishing a course.
Your member number applies to every completion from the moment you add it. To ask about a completion from before then, contact us with the course name and completion date, and we will check whether it can still be reported.
My completion isn't showing on my AIA transcript yet.
AIA updates transcripts on its own schedule after a provider reports, so a short gap is normal. If it has been a while, contact us with the course name and completion date and we will confirm the submission's status.
Still need a hand?
Tell us the course and what you were doing when you got stuck, and we will sort it out. We typically reply within one business day.
